Who I Am,

What's up! My name is Augustus Glick, I am my mother's son, and I am 6'1. Yes—like to the kid from Willy Wonka; Yes—like biologically; and Yes—a true 6'1". I am also based in New York, for slating purposes.

I am also a writer. And a barback. In fact, in June of 2025, I graduated from Northwestern University with a B.A. in Theatre and Creative Writing. My education has confidently laid the foundation for my carrying kegs and replacing speed pourers.

When asked what kind of work I like to do, I’m drawn to the word “Sonder.” Defined by John Koenig as the realization that every passerby, every “extra” in the narrative that orbits you you you, is “living a life as vivid and complex as your own.” I like to create work that reminds us that everyone is a main character. Everyone is a protagonist in their own story, and those stories are enlightening—worthy of being heard.

I made the jump to New York so I could spend all my money on rent and because I probably read Catcher in the Rye once. And outside my PTO,  I'm local until called elsewhere. Pick up what I'm putting down? I look forward to bumping into you around town, and thank you for checking out my page.
